How to Make Your Debt Go Away

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. MEANING I RECEIVE COMMISSIONS FOR PURCHASES MADE THROUGH THOSE LINKS, AT NO COST TO YOU. PLEASE READ MY DISCLOSURE FOR MORE INFO.

Pretty sure everyone wishes their debt would magically disappear. We’d love debt to just go away and not bother us anymore. To not be limited in our options because of our debt.

Unfortunately, life doesn’t quite work that way. But that doesn’t mean you don’t have the power to make your debt go away.

Paying off Debt While Having a Life

Paying off debt while having a life takes balance and a lot of hard work. It means prioritizing what’s important to you and not wasting money on frivolous things. Now, just because you don’t have a ton of money to spend doesn’t mean your quality of life has to go down.

It just means you need to get a little more creative about finding ways to affordable ways to do what you want. This might mean using rewards or discounts or memberships or even just an ability to barter. There are tons of ways to save on the things you love. So don’t let that get you to down because you can’t still very much have a life even while aggressively paying down debt

Taking Control of Your Money

To control your money you have to first own up to where you’re at financially. Take responsibility and accept your debt. Denial is a one-way street to financial failure. And by taking control you can honestly know where you’re at and where you want to go and then figure out how to get from point A to point B.

I promise you learning how to manage your money is one the best things you ever do for yourself.

Creating Your Own Financial Magic

By learning to manage your money you can essentially create your own financial magic. And using that magic you can definitely make that debt go away. I know because I have been there. I’m actually still in debt, but I did manage to make all my credit card debt go away. And I did it while having a life. And I still enjoy my life as I work to get rid of the rest of my debt.

Now you maybe thinking, sure that’s easy to say, but harder to do. And you’re right. There is no way I can explain everything about how to do that in just one teeny tiny blog post, especially one at the end of the year.

Which is why I’ve joined forces with Melissa from Sunburnt Saver. We put our heads the other heads together and decided to start a podcast.

Introducing the Accio Debt Freedom Podcast

The Accio Debt Freedom podcast is all about what it’s like to live a rich and for filling life even while you pay off debt.

Accio Debt Freedom is a podcast that talks about the way debt permeates our finances and nearly every aspect of our lives. Whether it's student loan, credit card, medical, mortgage or any debt in between, we cover it all on Accio Debt Freedom. Our goal is to help those of you in debt live purposeful and fulfilling lives, reminding you that debt does not define you.

On Accio Debt Freedom, we'll be talking with financial experts, those who are in debt, who've conquered debt, and those who are living with debt while leading rich and happy lives. Because we believe that we can banish debt - with or without magic!

It Launches January 1st!

Our podcast will be launching on January 1st and we’re so excited about it, I can’t wait for you to be able to listen to the first episodes we have planned. To be the first to know when it’s live, you can head over to the Accio Debt Freedom website and sign up for the email list.

Each week will be tackling a different topic. Sometimes it will just be Melissa and I. Other times it will be Melissa I am a guest, just myself and a guest, and just Melissa and I guest. We wanted to keep things fresh for you guys.

We’ll also be tackling some evil versus awesome segments throughout the way. Stuff like financial New Year’s resolutions, gym memberships, and because it is called Accio Debt Freedom we can’t leave out some Harry Potter references so expect a very thorough discussion on Professor Snape. If you’ve ever wondered what my voice actually sounds like tune in on January 1st and be sure to subscribe if you enjoy it.
