Ever thought of making money as Pinterest Virtual Assistant but not sure if you could earn enough?
In this post, I’m going to share about how much you could potentially earn as a Pinterest virtual assistant, or Pinterest VA or PVA as it’s more commonly known.
I’ve talked before about being a PVA and sort of some of the best services to offer. I’ve also shared how I became a full-time Pinterest manager. However, it’s a great side hustle if you’re just looking to make some extra cash or if you are making a career change.
I know that when you are looking for a side hustle or career change, that money is obviously a factor. So I thought I would share with you how much you could potentially earn. I’ll share how much I earn as well as feature some other PVAs and what they earn.

How Much I’ve Earned Monthly as a Pinterest Virtual Assistant
While I do consider myself a full-time Pinterest Manager, my Pinterest services are not my only source of income, and so in the example month I’m about to share with you, I worked maybe 20-30 hours a week on Pinterest services. Also, keep in mind that I managed to move cross country with a sick dog during the month as well – something I was only able to do thanks to the flexibility of this work.
But first a bit of background….
I became a Pinterest VA in early 2018. I like took a course at the end of 2017 to help me figure some stuff out and learn the administrative side of offering Pinterest services.
Then 2018 I land my first client. The first like invoice I ever sent out as a PVA was for $400. It was an account cleanup just kind of get started. And then they have been a recurring monthly client ever since. So right off the bat just with one client, I’ve earned thousands of dollars in the last year, or year and a half, almost two years from that one client.
I really built up my client base and by March 2019, so a little over a year later, I was earning $3,800 a month from Pinterest services. Here is the screenshot of my revenue that month:
So that is to kind of show you what your income can look like after working as a PVA for a year.
Income as a Pinterest Virtual Assistant is Much More Consistent
One of the things I love about being a PVA as opposed to being a freelance writer is that it’s much more consistent income because I’ve got my regular monthly clients. So I kind of know how much I’m going to earn each month.
Whereas when I was a freelance writer, it was always a question as to how many of my pitches were going to be accepted? How much work was I actually going to have, how much am I actually going to earn? I felt like it was just a lot more like up and down, whereas being a PVA is more consistent.
I do get some one-off projects or one-off Pin creation as bonus orders. But generally, I’ve got a really strong baseline of, I know I’m at least going earn a certain amount, which I love.

My favorite part about being a PVA is the flexibility of the job. It has allowed me to spend more time with the important people in my life, as well as my 16.5 year old dog that needs a little extra care ;). Working as a PVA has also taught me more than I thought possible about online marketing, and running a small business!
Toughest Part of Being a PVA:
The toughest part about being a PVA in my opinion is time management. It can be difficult to gage exactly how much time some tasks will take. But, after enough practice, this does become easier!

I think like most service-based business owners, it takes some discipline and hard work to balance client work and make time to market your own business.

How Much You Could Earn as A Pinterest VA
As you can see there are all sorts of ranges depending on your experience, but if you get just one or two clients, you could easily earn anywhere, I’d say from $400 to maybe even up to $1,000 a month. Working on the side. Of course, you can always decide how much you want to take on with how many clients.
I really enjoy doing this work. The clients I have now, I’ve had a long time and I love logging into their accounts and seeing how much they’ve grown because most of my clients I have had for at least a year.
One of them, they started literally from zero and to see them now, they’ve got 1500 followers and they’re getting, thousands of clicks per month from Pinterest. Seeing the progress I’ve been able to provide my clients is my favorite part of the job and it’s a great thing to be doing whether you’re doing full-time or part-time as a side hustle It’s a great side hustle or career, especially if you like Pinterest, you like being creative, and you like helping others because it’s something that, it is a very specialized skill set.
This course will take you through everything you need to know to start a business as a Pinterest VA, even if you don't know much about Pinterest.
How Being a Pinterest VA is Different from a General VA
Not all VA’s can take on Pinterest. Pinterest is a search engine not social media so it requires specialized knowledge. Which is why it’s highly sought after by business owners and why Pinterest VAs can charge the rates they do.
Bottom Line
Hopefully, this post has given you an idea of how much you could potentially earn as a Pinterest VA. Obviously it varies depending on your experience and how much you charge. As you get more experience, you can always raise your rates as you get better.
I should also just let you know, at the beginning of this post I mentioned that I took a course to help me start my PVA business, it’s called Become a Pinterest VA Today. It’s taught by Gina Horkey and Kristin Larson. While there are tons of Pinterest courses out there and they’re great, Gina and Kristin’s course is the only one that focused on the VA side Pinterest.
